Emily Stewart was born and raised in the small south Texas town of Hondo.  Growing up, she often traveled with her family to Mexico where she fell in love with the people, the culture, and the art of native handmade clothing and textiles.  

Emily earned a degree in marketing at Texas A&M University.  After working in sales for several years, she decided to follow her dream, creating Emilia Collection in 2016. Through her frequent travels to Mexico, Emily has been fortunate to meet and work alongside some incredibly talented artisans. She is passionate about the culture and history each unique handmade piece represents, and is proud to feature the work of such amazing women.

Emily is currently based out of Houston, TX where she resides with her husband, Brian and two daughters, Claire and Olivia.
